Tim Wetzel has been in media for nearly thirty years. He graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in Television/Film Production with a Creative Writing minor, and began his career as a news cameraman, working his way up to director of live local news. He spent more than 20 years in Los Angeles in a variety of positions in television, commercial, and feature film production. Tim has studied acting for directors with Carra Robertson and Judith Weston and had the privilege of being mentored by Producer/Director Ron Ames. Tim is also a short film writer/producer/director, including ‘Struck by Luck,’ a Sonoma Valley Film Festival entry in 2005, and 2 films in the 2013 Sonoma International Film Festival.
Chris Ubick has had a successful career as a motion picture Propmaster, including “Captain Ron,” “Practical Magic,” and “The Help,” and Bay Area productions such as “Chasing Mavericks,” “Bottle Shock,” and “Milk.” She also produced the award winning short, “Pot of Gold,” the 2005 Sonoma Valley Festival entry “Struck by Luck,” and 2 films in the Creativity Series, entered in the shorts program of the 2013 Sonoma International Film Festival. She brings more than 25 years of production experience to 9 Mile.“Production is always new, always fresh, always different. We can’t wait to see what comes next.”
